Cooking Instructions

StoveTop: In a small saucepan boil 1 3/4 cups of water. Add 1/2 tbsp of olive oil, and the contents of the basmati rice bag. Lower heat, cover, and simmer for 13 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 7 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Microwave: Place contents of basmati rice bag in a microwave-safe container. Add 1 3/4 cups water, cover loosely. Cook on high for 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Great Summer side dish

Refreshing and it goes expressly with seafood and chicken. We had it some fresh halibut and we got a bit more lemon in to our basmati rice. We found it a great additive. So the next time we made the lemon/herb basmati rice we added some fresh lemon zest and about a tablespoon of lemon juice. It woke up and brighten the seasoning of the rice

All of the Pereg Basmati Rice mixtures are delicious! Easy to prepare and very, very good! It is so nice to find a good, kosher, pareve product. We are enjoying them now that we have found them in a local store recently. Pereg - why is your price so expensive online?
