Oatmeal w/ Cinnamon and Currants

Oatmeal w/ Cinnamon and Currants

Ingredients

  • ½ cup steel cut oats
  • 1 cup whole or low fat milk
  • ½ teaspoon Pereg Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ tablespoon light brown sugar, or to taste
  • ¼ cup currants

Preparation

STEP 1

Combine oats, milk, cinnamon, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons currants in a medium saucepan.

STEP 2

Bring to simmer, cover and lower heat to low and simmer until oats are cooked and liquid is mostly absorbed, about 20 minutes. Oats will continue to thicken as they cool.

STEP 3

Garnish with remaining currants and more cinnamon.
