Chocolate Walnut Cookies

Chocolate Walnut Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ cup Pereg Natural Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Pereg Farro Flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Preparation

STEP 1

In a large bowl with a stand or hand mixer, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

STEP 2

Then add vanilla and egg and beat until combined.

STEP 3

In a separate bowl, combine cocoa powder, farro flour, baking soda, and salt and add to the wet ingredients and stir together.

STEP 4

Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips, cover, and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.

STEP 5

When ready to bake, pre-heat the oven to 350°F and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.

STEP 6

Scoop and roll 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on the cookie sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, cookies will still look a little raw in the center. Cool completely on cookie sheet for crispy edges & chewy center.
